PRESENT WORK EXPERIENCE

1. Director at Carolina Fashion International Private Limited, komaraplayam, INDIA from May 2023 to till date

• At present I am setting up our fashion e-commerce startup company.

• I have developed our sustainable clothing brand, and proof of concept is ready.

• And we have our own domain registered, fashbean.com; this website has yet to be launched. Furthermore, we have our own brand name, Fashbean, Carolina Fashion International.

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE

2. Graphic & content Designer  at  FREELANCE  FASHION AND GRAPHIC STUDIO, TIRUPUR  from  Jan 2016 to april 2023(Graphic/fashion design in Adobe Illustrator software, Photoshop etc.,) Buyers handled :GAP INC,USA,  ANN TAYLOR,USA etc.,the Present project-Canoe design Pvt Ltd.,Mumbai.The US and India based fashion company.

Responsibilitie :

• Logo design, illustration, graphic art preparation, digital print and multimedia.

• Creating the trend reports and content for upcoming fashion trends and presenting them to design team and buyers.

• Developing a group of products and  accessories, and market them through venues such as the boutiques or mail-order catalogs.

• Conferring with the sales and management executives or with clients in order to discuss design ideas and Determining the prices for styles.

• Sketching the outline of the T-Shirt of Mens and Womenswear and placing the Print and Embroidery design as per the Buyer’s specification and making the Samples such as the PROTO and FIT and sending the samples for buyer approval.

• Sourcing the materials, trims and accessories and sourcing the suppliers for sampling and final production.

3. Worked  with K.K.KNIT APPARELS, TIRUPUR as a GRAPHIC TECHNICAL DESIGNER  from March 2015 to Oct 2015 - knitted garments -0.7 yrs.

     Buyers handled :PUMA-USA,EU.  MAX,IND etc.,

 

Responsibilities:

• Created collections for the contemporary licencing programs.

• Researched seasonal dress trends locally and internationally.

• Responsible for creating the story boards. Created the direction for cut and sew knits.

• Sketched  the garments by adobe illustrator and directed the Pattern department as per the spec sheet and  inspected  at all stages of  the sample line and the sample garment.

• Created the color palettes for each season based on trend research.

• Assisted and directed fittings for the samples and made recommendations.

• Worked closely with the sample makers.

 

4. Employed  as a  TEXTILE  DESIGNER (GRAPHIC & FASHION DESIGN) at PVS TEXTILES PVT.LTD., KARAMADAI, Coimbatore from Feb 2013 to Jan 2015 - knitted garments- 1yr.11 months.

Responsibilities:

• Sketched designs for the buyers through Computer Aided Design software.

• Worked with the Design team for the rack collection and Prototype.

• Oversaw  fittings and communicated with the buyers.

• Sourced the qualified fabric suppliers for the Buyers.

• Oversaw quality assurance on all designs prior to final production.

 

5. Independent  job performed  at  FREELANCE  FASHION AND GRAPHIC STUDIO, TIRUPUR as the DESIGNER & PRODUCT DEVELOPER  for Knits , Hosiery products from JULY 2010 to JAN 2013-worked for the Manufacturer, Exporters, Buying house and  Suppliers using Fashion designing tool  like Adobe products etc.,-  2.3 yrs

Responsibilities:

• Designed the rough and detailed drawings of apparel and accessories, and written the specifications such as color schemes, construction, material types, and accessory requirements in the technical spec sheet.

• Product developed as per the story board and market trend.

• Photo samples marketed across the US and Europe .

• Prepared the prototype and organized for the fit for the buyer

 

6. Jobbed as A DESIGN LAB INCHARGE at Kadri mills ltd., perundurai from march 2009 to JUNE 2010. (Product design & development, Textile CAD, Lab testing & Inspection) - Terry, Woven , Home textile products-1.3 yrs

Responsibilities:

• Drawn  the outlines of the home products using the adobe suite.

• Created the artwork as per the buyers requirement and specification.

• Sample room handled for the Prototype , Dye and Wash .

 

7. Officiated as the sample incharge(apparels) at Gokak Mills Ltd., tirupur from October 2006 to DEC 2007. (Garment construction, knitting and sample QA) -yarn and knitted fabrics, Hosiery -1.2 yrs

Responsibilities:

• Sourced  the suppliers for the sample work for the garment division.

• Fabrication work followed for knit garments.

Responsibilities:

• Prepared  the artwork  for Rotary  Printing unit and Garment unit.

• Print design file prepared for the sample strike off.

• Handled the textile CAD software for the printing , dye and wash.

• Designated as the Lab Incharge at Elite dyers Pvt, Ltd., Komarapalayam, from may 2001 to Sep 2003.  ( color palette preparation and development  &  all lab activities) -yarn -2.4 yrs

Responsibilities:

• Selected the eco-friendly dye and wash for the LAB DIPS and BULK.

• Color Library prepared as per the AATC norms.

• Sent the LAB DIPS to Garment manufacturing unit and Buyers for approval.
